Insanity Max 30 Review – Shorter and More Effective Insanity

Eating Once Per Day – Basic Understanding

Insanity Workout Review
You can get that a number of places. Also, much depends on your diet and lifestyle in general you will need hours of sleep. That can help you- you can change some of the more cardio oriented exercises videos with this one. I thought I would like the workouts better in the extreme workout. A lot of people confuse being thin with being healthy but that is not the case.

Why the Insanity workout at the first place?

21 Day Fix Meal Plans

And the interesting part is that everyone who ever tried Insanity will spare some of their time to help other comrades enrolled in the program. I too plan to start Insanity again. Like you said, I need to see how it is when you start with power, in a very decent shape. You will see after you are finished with it. Your results are great so far. Though not just calculate the pounds, since remember that you are gaining a LOT of muscle too.

Forget about the weight scale, see the progress in the mirror, by touch, feeling the stubborn fat melting. I started Insanity with the goal to get as ripped as I can. I was pounds at the start, and weighted at the end. I lost 14 pound through the entire program, but I dropped to an incredibly low body fat percentage, as well as added some muscle mass and a lot of definition.

Diet helped a lot too. Olives is a great idea to keep eating healthy, I will try that. Try incorporating cabbage or broccoli and see the fat literally melting away. Slight muscle loss can be expected, but you will have a lot of muscle definition. The quads for example are gonna get really ripped, as well as your side abs. There is a video in the program for gaining upper body mass that is not included in the schedule, but you get it anyway. That can help you- you can change some of the more cardio oriented exercises videos with this one.

Though I think that it only comes with the deluxe package. You can try some additional exercises, but that will be beyond hard. Due to the low body fat percentage, any muscle you gain will be very noticeable. Ha, so you found the review: My plan was maybe a week later, since I want to use the sunny days to workout outside more. Last week was preparation, I plan to do the same next one too, so I believe I can be ready for the 17th to start with more power: Will let you know.

Let me know when you will start. I am thinking of trying out insanity for getting definition but also want to add some muscle mass but I am not sure if it is right for me.. I know the workout has a lot of pushups but does it workout cover back, shoulders, arms as well? Insanity can give muscle growth as well as muscle definition. I live in an apartment 4th floor in NYC.

Is this something you can do without disturbing your neighbors, or will all the movement be too much noise? Is there a lot of jumping involved? I am really interested in the workout, but am nervous about the noise in an apartment. This is in fact a sound concern. Insanity does have a lot of jumping involved.

The only day without jumping exercises is Thursday. However it is good that the workouts last something longer than 30 minutes, so I guess you can try explaining to the neighbors. Hi Slavko and thanks for the review. Im on day 17 today been religiously following it.

Hi I just started the Insanity workout with my cousin. I had a baby and the extra weight never left me. I am on the first week and… OMG! I really wanted to quit during the fitness test. But I stuck with it. I am not nearly as fast or accurate as the people on the screen but with practice I am getting it.

Its only been a week and I can actually play outside with my son or walk a short distance without getting tired. I can actually breathe again. I feel good and I am very proud of myself. This review was really good, and your right this is not for everyone.

You have to motivate yourself to get up and do this. I like to workout in the morning and get it over with Also I walk before the workout to a little warm up for myself, I find this very helpful. I wasnt looking for a 6 pac or a beachbody, I just want to feel good again, being overweight is not a good feeling expecially when your not use to it.

So anybody who is in a situatuon like me just keep pushing! We can do this! Congrats about the progress Roslyn! You are right, motivation is crucial. You are surprised now as for how good you feel.

Wait a week or two and you will be even more surprised. Keep pushing, and good luck. You can do this! My daughter and I started the insanity workout 1 week ago — Im 51 and lbs and she is 25 and had her second baby 2 months ago. She wanted me to do it with her for motivation. Before this I was working out X week- mainly walking on treadmill. We are both struggling to keep up with the people on the video but seems each day we do a little better.

Neither one of us can do more than 5 pushups at a time, but started out only being able to do 1 or 2. My problem is the excersises that jump down to the floor to do stuff and then jump up and then down again. Will this get easier? Also we are wondering if it would be beneficial to do the first month twice to get in better shape before moving onto the 2nd month.

Also our time schedule is gonna make it hard especially if you have two workouts in one day. We are mainly looking to lose weight and feel healthy.

Thanks for your time. You just made my day Pam! You will see huge progress as the time progresses. The important thing is to not push the pause button, and give YOUR max. The second month is somewhat more extreme, grant you that. However, you can try and see how things are going. I wish both you and your daughter good luck, and keep pushing forward. Drop a line or two when you are deeper into the schedule. I would love to hear how things are going. Considering Insanity because of this review, it really means a lot.

As healthy as you can. It all really comes down to that. Play football twice a week but made a concious decision to lose the fat before xmas.

Once I started doing some reasearch I came across the Insanity programme. The results sound impresive dont all fitness programmes but the reviews are what sold me. Thinking of taking a photo diary of the change in my body ovet the next 60 days, see how the change compares to the official reviews on the website!

I was shocked about how much I thought I was in shape. It pushes you to dig as much as you can, so you will get surprised each and every time. Taking the photo diary is a great idea, otherwise we tend to not notice the change to the real degree.

So, Insanity got delivered on Saturday, I planned to start today, which I did. I usually laugh in the face of feats of fitness as I am very able-bodied and willfully motivated….

On just the fit test!! The fit test is seriously better than most standard workouts. I also completely understand why this program is well complimented with a support group of peers…. Enjoy Amanda, and keep digging: Thanks for the great review, been looking around for something this detailed and you hit the nail on the head and covered all the basis.

For anyone with hesitations, get motivated and just do it! Hi Erica, I see that we resemble a lot in terms of our relationship with Insanity: I too am addicted. Was planning to start next week, but probably will enjoy the outdoor workouts for another week.

I want to start with power this time; compete with Tanya she is a machine: Drop a line from time to time and let us know how are things going. Take care, and good luck with the program. I am glad to read such a comment, I am an overweight person and I weigh around pounds.

I have posted also a comment. I Want to know like If I followed the program and the diet will this be enough for a significant change for me. I really need to lose weight with a good diet plan that can fit me well.

I recently started working in a multinational company so the long hours with a full suit is killing me because I have trouble wearing suits for a long time and even sitting for a long time. Thanks a lot and please reply: I work out daily at the gym doing cycling and weight training.

I also do the P90X workout. Would the Insanity workout be too intense for somone of my age? That really depends Karen. The thing you see, that is distinctly different about the Insanity workout, is that it tests you to the limits.

No matter whether you are just fitness enthusiast, or fanatic, Insanity is all about determination. You are 56 years young, and if you take Insanity it will show you just that: The least I can tell is that you are into fitness.

So believe me when I tell you- You will enjoy this workout. Hi Slavko, Amit here — I have ordered Insanity and waiting for the shipping: I have few questions for you. I am 5 feet 6 inches guy with pouns of weight. I do regular cardio 5 days a week from 18 months. Though i lost 22 pounds in first months, I am not loosing weight any more from long time.

Will insanity help in this case? Also i am indian guy and cook my food at home mostly Vegeterian. No junk food or cold drinks at all. Is the diet mentioned in insanity manageble to people like me? Glad you took the challenge: Regarding the diet, you can pull it out I guess, but you can also modify things for yourself.

Surprisingly, they were loosing weight, although on a tiny scale. Granted, the results will be 10 times better if you do, but… You can follow your own healthy food choices and be just fine with it too.

I followed the diet only briefly, if that helps, and saw some great results. You say you do regular cardio, and thus are unable to see any more results. This my friend, is nothing alike with anything regular. So you do the math: Hi Slavko, Thanks a lot for the reply, you made my day: Keep posting the good articles. Your website is very useful to people who are searching right piece of information on internet. Just ordered my insanity package just waiting for it to arrive, just a few questions really.

I can start to see my abs at the top but struggling to get a flat stomach!! Is the the one for me?? Hi Chris, and welcome to the Insanity community. In short, this is the thing that gets you ripped. No huge muscle gain, even some slight muscle loss if you are the bulk type. However, it will drain fat from your body, and the muscles would appear sculpted and defined. Take care, and enjoy Insanity: I see you are doing great so far.

You completed month one. I would like to hear about that. Do you notice some change? And now things are getting more intense. Watch a close eye on the diet, since you can sometimes lose control due to the intensity of the exercises.

I remember I overate couple of times because I was feeling hungry beyond words. Things can always be better, but alas, sometimes even the most determined and motivated ones confront obstacles. I too missed couple of days due to a cold. As for lowering your body fat percentage, it is possible. Stop worrying about numbers and measurements, and just enjoy the ride- I learned this, and it changed things quite a bit.

Results will appear or not regardless whether you are measuring them or not. Be proud of yourself that you came so far, and keep pushing! I guess that by now you are in love with Insanity- the intensity, the pain, the adrenaline, the great feeling you get while you are doing the drills, the whole team from Beachbody. Loved this observation of yours Slavko!

To be honest,The max. I fighting to complete this month.. So I decided to do as much as I can. I changed my routine.. Now am waking up at 7: I felt my body so week and my mouth thirsty.. After I finish insanity.. Your questions are always welcomed my friend! We Insanity comrades should stick together.

Btw I love talking about the program: Granola bars are best for small meals. You can also add nuts. There are not that many people who can get there with Insanity. Just do them according to YOUR limits. About getting thirsty… I too had the same problem. Try drinking one or two glasses more during the workouts.

You will see some muscle building there. With the Insanity workout melting the fat, the effect will be quite bigger. As for the pull up bar, I cannot say for sure. It pretty much activates muscle groups that are hard to activate otherwise. It is a compound type of exercise meaning it activates more muscle groups at once.

I never tried the P90X so I cannot say for sure. Keep the core tight! For the first week I had no idea what this meant until I did some googling. It makes a huge difference, works your abs and glutes so much more when you keep your core tight throught out the exercises.

I read a few of your followers asked about working out on a carpet, and how expensive those big mats cost. I got around this by using a yoga mat. Since most of the sweat drips of me when in plank positions i just plank over the top of it and save my floor from getting covered in sweat!

Not at all Michael. Your advice is always welcomed here. As for your progress so far, congrats! Regarding the core and tightening it constantly. I never really focused so much on the core out of the abs section workouts. But this is great. This way a lot more muscle fiber is torn, so a lot more muscle gain in return. This will definitely come handy. Thanks again, and please drop a line or two again to inform us about your progress as well as maybe some other awesome advice.

Hi there, I came across this workout on Australian Infomercial last week and have been thinking about trying this out. Your review has been SO helpful, so firstly wanted to say thanks. Also helpful, were the comments and your answers, as I was also concerned about the push ups comment you made, but answered above. I weight train at the gym about 3 days a week and after a conversation with a trainer about my Vegetarian diet, have been drinking 2 protein shakes a day 3 on training days , as an attempt to up my protein intake.

I have always wanted a toned body and have felt my late start and diet, has affected the possibility of getting real results. So, my concern is about the diet needed for this workout, and as a Vegetarian, was wondering if this would affect my ability to do this workout?

Hi there Irene You are about to make the right choice with the Insanity workout as to cement the change in lifestyle for good. You can have a lot of protein even with vegetarian, just try and find food rich with protein. You already have nuts, almonds, peas, beans, sweetcorn, watercress 3 grams of protein per grams serving … try and read about Shakeology as well.

I finished first month of the insanity program. I definitely see results on the scale. But my problem is that every morning I am really sore and not fully recovered. This affects on the workout I am doing that day.

I am following the diet plan quite properly and also drinking whey protien and casein night time protien. Infact also taking fish oil and multivitamin. First let me say congrats. Recovery wise you would try more rest. Go to bed earlier, since otherwise you are putting your body through additional stress. You can also try massage, but more rest itself would suffice. Though remember that this is the elite of fitness, sometimes it just hurts.

Hi Slavko, Sorry, never got change to thank you. I will keep that in mind and infact will find some massage today itself. I think I am getting better at recovery. Also I have trouble sleeping since i had gained tons of weight. Although its getting better i am trying each and every possible thing to get the best sleep I can. Currently I am getting like hrs only. Ill work on it too. Thanks again and its great what you do.

I am a fan of this site and come here often to read reviews even though m in the last week of Insanity. You said gaining weight though. Did you mean more muscle? And then a protein shake after I workout.. How do you think that sounds. Hi Chris Glad hearing about your progress. As for your diet, you are doing great already. I personally would try and replace the dried fruit with some fresh one, since a lot less carbs that way, as well as way more vitamins and minerals.

Also you will need that water from fruits to keep you hydrated. Another thing I would add is cabbage, since containing I3C it will help you melt the fat. Everything else looks just great. Also try and give yourself a day in the week usually Sunday where you can eat whatever you like. It helps the hormone balance, as well as gives you some additional energy while making you less cranky.

Hi Slavko, Dan here. I started month 2 fourth day tomorrow and boy is it hard!! Always had a strong upper body but core and legs were horrible! I eat 5 meals at cal each. Should I add result and recovery and eat more? My ultimate goal is lbs? And I def find myself answering and talking to Shaun lol I loved that you said that!! Hi Dan Glad hearing about your results so far. This is a life changer man. Try eating more, but stick to fruits and vegetables.

Drink more water too. Month two just started, you will get used to it a after a while. Try adding two or three snacks where you eat an apple or two. It should give you some more energy. The thing is to not let yourself feel hungry. Keep digging, you are so close to your goal. You will find that after Insanity it gets easier to maintain that weight and even lose some without any particular effort. Yes please go ahead and add the keeping the core tight tip to your guide. Would be very happy if it helps anyone out with their insanity workout.

Hi David I too had a problem with my knee but nothing that serious. I was doing nothing for a month before I started the Insanity. After the first couple of days I felt the pain in my knee again, and at the time I was uncertain whether I will continue with the Insanity. The pain disappeared after the first week though, and my guess is that it was due to the muscles surrounding the knee getting stronger and taking the whole stress.

I will advice you to start slowly and see how things turn out. I was very surprised that I actually got better, but you may not have the luck. Six months does sound like a lot though. Were you doing some demanding physical activity recently. Did you test yourself as for how much you can stress the knees? Been looking at stuff I can get from a local health shop franchise. Hi Michael It looks OK to me. This time my second time doing Insanity- see this post too http: I just eat more fruits and vegetables, and with that I cover the carbs part.

Hi Nina Great for considering the Insanity: This program is focusing more on weight loss and getting that ripped look muscle definition before anything else. You gain muscle, yes, but nothing too bulk. Go and see the girls from the videos, I think that sums it up. Your review was awesome and answered many of my questions about what to expect from the program.

Anyways, my question is whether or not you are still seeing gains now that you are doing insanity a second time? Similar to the young lady that commented earlier, I will be doing insanity workout in the morning along with some combat sports training in the evening. After I finish a first time I want to do it again to stay in tip top shape. My fitness goals are to increase my endurance, strength and overall fitness to the next level. I want my opponents to be overwhelmed with a good mix of technique and fitness.

Training for combat sports is similar to this max interval training since I train for multiple three minute rounds with a short rest in between rounds. I feel insanity is the answer for my training goals because it seems to help you fight against hitting a plateau and pushes you past your limits. If adrenaline and challenge is what you are after, you will have plenty of both here. Speed is at an entirely different level.

You will be amazed by how much control over your movements this program grants you. Have a great day! I would really love to hear about the performance part. Doing it the second time results are here too. I do have a specific problem and would like to know if I am the only one.

I am in the second week of month 1 of Insanity. I do not follow the nutritional plan, I am trying to do my own healthy meal plan. The problem I am facing is that I am not able to eat the amount of calories I am suppoosed to.

For example, I am supposed to eat around calories a day, but in the evening I still have left. I eat often, small portions. I am just not hungry, do I need to force myself to eat all that calories to fulfill the needs of my body or is it ok to eat less? Thank you for your answer. Hi Petra You should be happy: Your body not requiring that much food, you actually have a better start even there.

Some people convert energy harder others do it easier. Sometimes it is about the genes and every individual is different. By all means eat as much as you feel is enough. Try eating healthy as to supply the body with the right amount of nutrients. Another thing, I know that you recommend to do Insanity workout and only Insanity: I am trying to avoid the workout at least on my game days.

Or do you think it is just not possible to get the same results? You are welcome Petra. Have a court right next to my house, so I played more than I can recall. As for the results, I think you will not see a huge difference, though there will be less of them if skipping workouts. It also depends on the intensity of your play.

If your goal is to be in great shape, and you are not in a hurry, then you can stretch the workouts into more than two months, while switching between Insanity and basketball from day to day. There are a lot of people doing some mix between Insanity and P90X or Insanity and other sports and exercises in the gym. If you find something fulfilling as you do with basketball then my advice is to switch occasionally. You will have more fun and overall a great experience.

I may just do the same next month, since my friends are trying to persuade me to join them in swimming sessions. Take care Petra, and drop a line from time to time. You are always welcomed: As you said, I will just stretch the 60 day program to about 90 days with basketball in between. I will let you know how it went. I keep pausing every min and rest to catch my breath. Thanks for the honest and thorough review. I just started the Insanity workout yesterday. Being that active, I suspect that you are about to enjoy the program.

Good luck Michelle and have fun. Hi slavko, Thanks of your great review of insanity workout. I get 7 hrs sleep, have 4 meals including my whey protein. Just try and add in some additional sleep, maybe another meal, and see if you can limit all the other physical activities for now.

Will probably order it tonight! Is it okay to workout eve if you are still sore from the day before? Im assuming yes, but figured I would get your input. Foods like nuts and almonds also give a great substitute for protein shakes. They are great for snacks too. As for the second question, here is the thing… Insanity is focused more on weight loss and muscle definition, hence less muscle gain.

There is still a lot though. Be around food and not be tempted. In the mean time, you could ask him to help you by not waving food in your face. And know that, although your husband is not overweight because of a fast metabolism, that does not mean he is healthy. A lot of people confuse being thin with being healthy but that is not the case. I agree with the mindset theory…i recently started the one meal a day plan on Saturday 5th November.

Anyway, when i pulled through the first day, i lost a whooping 1. My birthday is on the 19th and i plan to look amazing. Then I eat my dinner at 7: I have not been able to add exercise to my routine yet but I am more energetic than usual. I have lost 11 pounds in 8 days. I weigh pounds right now. This diet is awesome. First 2 days were painful but now iam ok. I eat somewhere between 1PM and 3PM, and try to have a liesurely meal over two hours—not gargantuan, but I hate rushing through 1-hour meals.

This way, I get to prepare a nutritious meal and still have a healthy dessert fresh fruit. So I just drink something flavorful in the morning as a no-calorie treat—coffee, tea… And I really like that I have to prep food, cook, and wash up dishes only once a day. Within a half hour of finishing eating, my kitchen is clean again. I discovered that starches are very difficult for me, even eating just one meal a day. Today I experimented, cut out starch, and ate high-fat, moderate protein sprouted beans , and high fiber vegetables, fruit , but no bread or pasta or rice all which I used to love.

This plan is so simple that I never want to stop. I want to see how it affects my appetite. Been doing this diet for 2 weeks and lost 14 lbs. Got another 11 pounds to go to reach my target weight by 20 december. I think i can just about do it!! My 1 meal consists of meat , abd vegetables followed by fruit and yoghurt and at least 30 minutes exercise every day, walking, football or cycling. I am finding it tough i cant lie but am determined to make the weight.

I will be back here on December 20 look out for my post! Just to update I just realised I didnt give you my starting weight which was 14 Stone 4lb on 19 Nov. I initially lost 1 stone in 2 weeks which is a crazy amount but i since plateaued and i now weigh 13 stone. My target is 12 stone 7 by 20 Dec which i dont think i will make. I am now struggling to rid myself of my belly fat which is the hardest bit to get rid off!!

The last 7 days i have lost nothing even thoe I have intruduced some HIT exercise to my exercise routine. I am not sure why i am sticking at this weight because last time i got down to 12 stone 4 albeit around 2. Maybe its because im older 55 now!! Never mind my body is looking trim, got a boyish body now and just bought some 32 inch slim jeans which i look good in so cant complain.

Its still a great diet!! Hi guys I said I would report back on December However I had to revise my strategy as the weight stopped coming off. So I decided to go on to the hospital diet which is a 3 small meals low calorie diet which equates to about calories a day. The change in eating plan tricked my body into metabolising the belly fat although some of it will be water!!

So over all I am pretty pleased with myself so far. As regards Christmas I will be back on to eating 1 meal a day for 2 days then back on to the 3 day low calorie diet.

My target final weight is 12 stone 7 by 31 December. Update you Jan 1. I was just thinking about the amount of pounds I have lost in the time period. Not bad going eh!!! I will advise next year what I will do. Hi folks said I would update on January 1. My weigh fluctuated over the days as one would expect. My next target is to hit 12 stone 5 by 1 February. However I might be too thin at that weight! I now have the middle aged dilemma of do I stay a few pounds over weight as my face might be too thin!

At the end of the day if I get too low I can always put a couple of pounds back on. It is easier to put weight on than take it off. Hi guys its me again. The good news is that I have put no weight on since I last posted. So 12 stone 9 is still a good weight for a 55 years old guy.

I treated myself to some lovely clothes in the January sales, tight fitting designer shirt and a couple of pairs of slim fitting trousers together with some lovely shoes. Its great having a flat belly and I have no intention of going back to the old me. Still want to lose 2 pound minimum and see were I go from here.

Back beginning of March. One meal a day is the best diet both physically and mentally. Hi guys reporting back as I said I would. Today I weigh 12 stone 7pounds, a very respectable weight for a 55 year old man medium frame.

A total weight loss of 25 pounds so far. I still got a small amount of belly fat but to be honest I am just about there. Now its a case of permanent life style changes and not letting things slide but I can whole heartily say that this diet works. I need to lose 30 pounds! I need to report! You can have pizza and salad but make sure you have lots of salad.

Maybe have some fruit and yoghurt after too!! It all depends how sensible you are. If your a person who is mentally strong I would go for it. However, if you suffer from a mental illness or have a tendency for bulimia I would say no. I have suffered from mental illness myself last 10 years but am improving and mentally strong. Your choice, maybe consult your doctor or an elder first as you need plenty of discipline but the results are worth it. I meal a day in the evening, exercise HIT exercises are good, cut down on sugar and carbs, more protein in your diet.

Your weight will drop off. I was on a different diet a few years a go. It made me miserable even though I was losing weight. I started the one meal a day diet in I was weighed at the hospital I have really bad stomach problems and weighed 69kg. A month or so later after doing this diet I was at 64kg.

The nurse asked me how I lost all that weight in such a short time. I came across this diet on another site and wanted to try it so I could eat what I want to. I have a question though. My thighs are still really big, mainly the front upper part.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the fat on there? If you follow the diet you will lose weight everywere, not necessarily in the time order you want but nevertheless it will happen. One meal a day with my current appetite due to my social life and being a student, seems quite doable as long as i keep the right motivation.

Anyone wanna join me today? My tip is to weigh yourself every day. If you pig out one day, cut back the next!! I started Jan 18th at my highest weight But healthy snacks and small portions all day is torture — leaves me hungry and not knowing where to draw the line. Keep your stories coming! I weigh 65 KG on plateau and on a Low carb high fat way of eating, i have started today, i only eat at My goal is to weigh 55 by April my birthday wish me luck. I did this several years ago and lost around 80 pounds and by sticking to this plan kept it off for several years.

Going back to one meal a day. I started with one cheat day and progressively started cheating here and there until eventually the diet was blown and I gained all the weight back, plus some. Hi everyone, I started yesterday, eating one meal a day. My goal is to do this for the next 6 months and lose pounds which equals out to 2 pounds a week hopefully by August.

For maintenance weight once I get to my goal, my plan is to eat fruit or yogurt for break fast and lunch and stick with a meal for dinner of what I want but usually meat and salads and drink lots of tea.

I want this to be a lifestyle change. I have two protein shakes a day- one in the morning made with GNC protein, almond milk, and a lot of ice to make it thick calories. This seems to tide me over until like 2 or 3pm when I have my second shake- premade GNC shake calories. Maybe calories worth of food or less. I may be less now. I have tried so many diets and ended up falling off the wagon now day two and feeling fab. Hey someone help I started this yesterday now on my second day. I could mentally do this everyday no problem but will this really be good for me as an athlete or no?

If you make sure you have a balanced healthy meal and you feel good then have trust that you will be fine. I did it before last winter and was really surprised. My energy stayed up. Once a day eating is sooo simple, and I look forward to a satisfying full meal at night! I found that after a while my capacity for food even once a day, was way down and I was satisfied with way less food. I have been doing this for months and I am almost back down to a 25 BMI.

I have done this off and on my whole life, but sometimes cave in to social lunch pressures. My blood sugar is normal again it always crashed during the day when I eat lunch and my blood pressure is right on the money. Once you get past the first 3 or 4 days, it becomes normal again. I agree with others that the stigma is hard to overcome and it is easier to just say I already ate lunch. This is not a diet; it is just better for my overall health and I can eat whatever I want within a 1-hour window.

I started this 9 days ago and lost a total of 10 lbs at weigh in this morning. I had 70 now 60 to lose. Here is how I do it: I have no snacks—Nothing to fall back on. Around 8pm I go out to eat at a sit down restaurant every night. I have a small steak or fish. I talked to the chefs there and they only cook the bare meat. No added salt or butter or any of the other goodies they put on in a restaurant.

They do lavish with herbs though! You can get that a number of places. I get it at my grocery, but Amazon and Ebay has it too. Portion sizes if a steak is 6 oz. A lot of chicken is injected with salt. Oh I forgot to tell you about my dessert! With my dinner they give me a piece of dinner bread. And so I get a half of dry texas toast and add one of those little jelly cups they have in restaurants on top. I vary the taste of the dessert by choosing different jellies.

BUT I never lost any significant weight on the systems. I lost it on strictly following the diet. I drink a calorie free drink.

The kitchen is closed. I drink a lot of filtered water. I like to keep fluoride out of my diet, so I use my zero water pitcher and drink a lot of water, calorie free tea and calorie free coffee. If you doctor your coffee, Walden farms also makes a calorie free coffee creamer, but I usually drink coffee black.

I went serious on the diet because I had never been that heavy before. I may change the meal some in case it gets boring, but so far so good. I usually eat the meal as late as possible, usually 8, mainly because I like to go to sleep with a full belly. Others find a heavy meal mid-day works for them. I can change the time of the meal if I want. Since we need a lifestyle change, why not start it now? I am going to the gym because I sit a lot all day.

I usually use the treadmill and power walk on it and I lift a few of the lighter weights. When I get to my goal weight, I might go to 2 healthy meals to maintain. I was on diets where I was eating 6 or more times a day. No, this way is so much better. Was losing, but not as fast as the first 9 days, so I decided to change things a bit. I moved dinner to 6PM so I could get an extra energy boost for a later night work out. I have a steak or fish and low cal veggies.

I suppose if I feel like I want a dessert, I can go back to the other restaurant and make one out of my dinner bread or just order it at the new restaurant. This has been brilliant. There is absolutely nothing I can eat here. If I feel a little dizzy which is rare , I sit down and have some filtered water. I think a lot of this dizziness is caused by dehydration. So after 14 days and 14 meals, I have lost 15 lbs. I have 55 more to lose. The doc is going to be so surprised when I go back.

So grateful for this diet. It sure saves time and money even with eating out and I eat healthy food that I love. Sometimes I get really hungry if I work out too much. I have cut back workouts, and that helps some. I had to make myself slow down and chew the food more carefully. The hunger problem I thought would be gone, but it comes and goes and it seems to have to do with physical activity.

Gotta have my eyes on the prize…. My blood pressure is already going down. When I go to doc will ask if I can take a lower dose of it in future. I originally started out on a ketogenic plan, have stuck with that, as it keeps my pre-diabetes from going full blown. I then moved to a intermittent fasting schedule, then to , then to Congrats on losing that weight. I kind of went on how I felt too and I tried a lot of things.

Also my blood sugars I was pre-diabetic when I started this diet are very good all day long and even post-meal they go up a bit as they should, but then resolve nicely. I stopped checking daily now because my blood sugars have been acting normally. Back when I was eating 6 meals a day, my body could never rest from having to produce insulin all day long. Would it be okay if I ate just 3 nature valley oats an honey bars plus drink 2 bottles of water a day?

Besides most of that being sugar and carbs, as those bars are essentially candy bars, calories a day is firmly at anorexic levels.

That means your body is not getting the energy not to mention nutrients it needs to function at a basic level. The point of the One Meal a Day plan is that you eat your daily calorie allowance during one pre-determined period daily. Meaning you need to eat at least between calories, depending on your current weight, age, sex and activity level.

To lose weight, you need to have a calorie deficit. That means you need to burn more calories than you take in. Whether you eat all your food once a day or in smaller meals, the key is to take in fewer calories. The One Meal a Day plan helps people who find themselves unsatisfied by smaller meals throughout the day. And to clarify, that 1,, calorie figure I gave above is for a slender, sedentary woman. I eat one meal a day as a lifestyle, but allow water, tea no sugar , protein drink calories during the day until 3pm and eat one meal no restrictions.

I ensure I include veggies, fruit, meat, breads, dessert. On weekends my meal will be a little more quantity. It works great for weight loss and maintaining. Could that be it? I have 2 cups of tea with milk to break my fast- at about 5pm Have some cold meat to snack on curry and rice for dinner and a biscuit and tea after- stop eating at 8pm. Am having water and black tea during the day. I just want to make a change that I can maintain for the rest of my life for once.

One of the other big reasons I am doing this is because I truely am addicted to eating. My diet for the last month has been eating crisps, fried food, chocolate, loads of alcohol and just everything stuffed with sugar and carbs. It made me miserable! This caused a weight gain of 5 kg in a short period of time. I never feel stuffed until I get sick, so as other repliers have also said: I realized that hunger pangs are temporary and that they are gone after 15 minutes or so. When I was eating that delicious bag of calorie crisps in the afternoon, I would still get hunger pangs, so what is the use of stuffing yourself all day long then?

Also my energy levels today were pretty high and I managed to walk 11, steps on an empty stomach. What is difficult, however, is to eat the required calories per day.

I try to eat a lot of vegetables and fruits for the healthy nutriënts but also I try to eat at least 70 grams of proteins each day to try to prevent muscle loss. I lost 7kg over the past few months whilst doing HIIT exercises 6 days a week and intermittent fasting I have been doing OMAD for the past 12 days but I have not lost the amount of weight some people are reporting.

I lost 2 kg within the first 2 days, however weightloss has been rather slow ever since and I think I have lost another half a kg in the last 10 days. I do admit that my OMAD consist of whatever I can grab but always include a protein, a fruit, a veg and dessert.

I am wondering why the weight is not dropping off faster? Some people have reported incredible weightloss in a short amount of time, did anyone experience lose skin? You can absolutely lose weight on this diet. However it does not mean that this is a healthy way to diet. People should always look at both sides before following a new diet. Two studies found that It can raise both blood pressure and blood sugar higher than the typical 3 meals a day plan.

In other words it can set you up for diabetes stage 2. Not to mention the lower amount of minerals and vitamins you will get.

Plus it puts an additional strain on your wallet. But that is not the point I am arguing. Based on the available evidence…there are drawbacks you would do well to consider before starting or staying on this diet.

Has it worked for the past 30 years since Ancel Keys told us that fat and saturated fat is bad? And then all the grocery stores filled with junk low fat sugar laden food. Has it hellped us or put us in the worst situation of 1 in 3 people overweight now? The diet associations tell us to eat 6 meals a day which taking us to grave sooner than our time to die.

I did this last year and it worked well considering that I ate anything I wanted in a 4 hours window. I lost about 15 lbs in about 4 months doing it only during the week. Then, in a matter of weeks, I put on the 15 lbs back and then some because I was always taking a little bite here and there and I had stop running due to illness. When he learned that I did it last year, he told me that it was not good for me, that it was not sustainable, etc.

It was pretty easy to follow last time. This time, I will stay away from chips and walk 30 minutes every lunch time at work to avoid the questions and to keep moving. If you do not wish to tell your husband about it, yet wish for transparency…why not tell a supportive friend or two? Then you have accountability and transparency…and once you lose about say 20 lbs or so you can tell your hubby and display your weight loss as proof positive that your diet works.

As an aside, were I you, I would engage in some other activity besides walking. Walking will definitely burn calories, but it will soon plateau as your body gets used to it.

Milimelo, I saw your comment and feel the same way. My wife loves us eating together. I am all for it and sometimes she wants to have breakfast and dinner. Maybe have a designate friend to eat your meals for you instead ha no one can complain about free food right.

Without coming off insulting. I think your husband support is the biggest thing. The best thing to do is to do your research and allow him to do his. Go get a physical or at least check your blood pressure and see what you are on day 1.

What you put in the shake can be nothing more than perhaps crystal light and water. Is window eating of pm considered Omad? Or it means the food in your plate that you can only consume, then after that no more eating.

I decided this was the best way to try to lose weight. I am about 20 pounds over weight but would like to drop 40 pounds.

I remember when I was younger I hardly ever ate. My normal was eating 1 meal a day. I weigh hoping to get back down to I started eating 1 meal a day 8 weeks ago. I eat at 8pm with a1 hour eating window and then eat again at 8pm the next day 24hr. My dinner meal is a lean protein and a salad or steamed vegetables.

If no more than calories. I drink 2 litres of water every day and 2 long black coffees during the day. First thing in the morning I have 2 multi vitamins, 2 vitamin B tablets, 2 Garcinia Cambodia, and 3 tablespoons of organic apple cider vinegar.

II love this program it definitely works. I have done this before and lost lbs. Do not worry about what you eat in the beginning of this diet. Your stomach will shrink in time. I was under so much stress in a bad marriage that I gained my weight back. I now have had triple bypass surgery and I have diabetes. Eat what you want in that window of eating because your body lets you know what it needs.

I drink bullet coffee in the morning and green tea and water throughout the day until 6: I will have broth or bouillion if I get hungry but I have not had it as of yet. I can tell my body is changing. I eat from 6: This is the easiest way to lose weight that you will ever encounter. Willing to give it a go. Proper form- go slower and make sure you are doing it right. It is far more important than going faster, or doing more reps.

I believe that all the attention should be pointed towards listening to your own body and learning its capacity. Monitoring is, at least for me, a sort of a distraction from that.

However, you can slow down a bit just when you are checking form and do an extra check on that as well. Over time though, believe me, you will have more intuitive understanding on when is time to stop, slow down or speed up.

I started to do Max Insanity 30… And I plan to do it for 8 weeks according to the workout plan… I feel great so far, but my question is: You can either repeat the program and do the modifiers more in order to step down on intensity while still keeping your shape. Or, you can do one day and rest the other. Thanks for your awesome review — you look amazing! Anyway, when I went off of birth control last year, I found that it was harder for me to lose the extra fat around my tummy very frustrating.

I eat very clean and take in about grams of protein per day — my problem? Max can definitely help you with those stubborn areas of fat, and I will even go ahead and suggest you try Asylum Vol. As for nutrition, try and slightly up your protein and see what happens. Preferably right after workout. Same goes for healthy fats- a spoon or a half spoon of peanut butter, along with your protein intake right after workout.

Add only that and see what happens. Also, try and eat more greens, tricking the body in that way. I have a lot of free time ……. You will cause your body shorts bursts of stress throughout the day- not advised for the results I think many people are hoping for.

You need one session of intense and targeted stress to your muscles, and a healthy diet and long hours of rest throughout the day afterwards for the body to recuperate, and hence grow your msucle tissue while draining fat. If you cannot manage to go through the whole workout, try the modifiers throughout. If still not- it is better to cut the workout in half, and do the stretching in full at the end and beginning.

Max out, write down your time, and then do as much as you can while taking breaks where need be. If you feel you cannot continue stop, and then do the modifiers if that helps. Take many of them if need be, and longer ones as well.

Get back to it when you can get back to it be that 10 seconds or a full minute or two, but leave the video rolling. Then, stop with the workout even if it is mid way or sooner. The day after, you will try again, and again, and again… Eventually you will get there, and see that all the while you were pushing, the results kind of took place. If you are doing Max 30 only, then it is a very good transition, and you will achieve your goals most def. Hi, thanks for your very comprehencive review.

Would you recommend that for me? Depends on how hectic your day becomes suddenly afterwards. If you are finishing your workout only to run to the shower and dresser and right out of home, then this may cause unpleasant levels of stress for the day ahead. If not, there is nothing inherently wrong with doing your exercise in the morning, regardless of how intense it is. As the second week comes, you will have more awareness over how to pace yourself.

I want to lose only 25 pounds.. Do you recommend this to me? However depending on your fitness level you will have to chose between the two. Also, much depends on your diet and lifestyle in general you will need hours of sleep. Having said that, these workout are your best bet of achieving your goal within the shortest time frame. Hey, i start insanity max 30 2 weeks before.

Seeing how Max 30 is an intense workout program, and you only have 6 hours of sleep available, I will recommend trying another program for starters. Maybe go with Focus T25, or P As for food, it is not entirely the main issue right now, though you must have the best diet regimen possible if you want to somehow endure Max 30 with only 6 hours of sleep and still get results, or even function throughout the day.

Here, if this helps, try reading these other two reviews of mine, of two programs I feel will be more suitable for your circumstances. I carry almost all of my weight in my thighs and butt. The more you workout with the Max 30, the leaner your body looks. You will drain fat tissue, all the while promoting muscle definition. Any extra muscle mass created, will drain even more fat from your thighs.

And muscle mass, by all definition, is very lean, and occupies less space than fat tissue. Im Dayana and I came across this review. I would like to gain strenght and body muscle but without having to go to a gym, which I have before. I love sports but I dont know what option would be best for me to build up muscle and get stronger.

You will get stronger with Max 30, and there is no doubt about that. As far as muscle mass goes, you will not bulk up significantly, but only build slightly more muscle mass than what you have now, and define your body more muscle, less fat tissue. If however, you up the protein intake slightly, and increase the intensity of the workouts, you will gain more muscle mass and get even stronger.

I have 2 children an 3 yr old and a 1 yr old. I would like to lose the weight on my upper body especially the babyfat and gain some muscle on my lower body like legs and butt. I want your opinion. Sorry for being so late with my reply. This program can help you achieve exactly what you want. Only thing is, you will have to fight very hard for it.

As a beginner, and not knowing your history with fitness, I will assume that you cannot start on a fast pace initially. This program has a modified set of moves for each workout, so can start slowly and build strength and cardio condition. And having in mind that you are having a family and kids, the fact that Max 30 is taking only 30 minutes per day, kinda makes the most suitable program for what you have described.

Pardon me,does the program DVD package able to ship to international country other than in USA or Canada after i buy it from online website? So after a few months of t25 gamma to add a little muscle and climbing a mountain I am going to start this again today. I hope I enjoy it as much as last time. I think my cardio has dropped since I stopped doing this. So hopefully after a few weeks I will be feeling super fit again like last time! Just keep pushing through the first couple of days, it gets much easier after that.

I too sometimes forget how on Earth was I able to complete the program last year. But then, few of the modifications during the first couple of days, and I quickly get back in shape to test my metal.

Hello I have done insanity and lost 20 kgs in three rounds.. I am not eating clean.. Glad that you started Max If you enjoyed the results with Insanity, you will love this one. And yes, as far as being a vegan goes, you can make awesome abs as well- just need to know your way around the kitchen and pack enough protein. Anyway, the formula will tell you a rough estimate. Though you can try and balance things out all by yourself.

Belive me it is not that hard. Just start eating clean and healthy, and portion your food as much as your body needs. When hungry, attack the vegetables, no extra calories there. Ab attack comes with the cardio workouts, and you can do it as you please.

If you however go with the ab maximizer program additional kit, sold separately from Max 30 there is a schedule included and two extra ab workouts as well. For now, do the ab attack as you see fit. I am very interested in starting this program, definitely time to get back in shape! My questions is, how much room is needed to effectively do this workout? I travel for work and am usually in a hotel room for 2 weeks a month with limited space. I imagine different workouts require varying amounts of space, so just trying to see if this would work out for my situation.

You can manage with less most of the time. I did Insanity when I was 52 to lose weight to help with my fave hobby, rock climbing. I remember doing the warm up for the first time and thinking, hell when will this stop, what kind of a warm up is this and then it just got worse. I completed the program and lost 35 pounds and looked great again after years of being podgy.

I moved onto T25 after that and found it good because of the reduced amount of time to do the workout but it was nowhere near as hard as Insanity apart from alpha total body and gamma extreme. After completing that I continued with a T25 hybrid so as to stay in shape and then six weeks ago I started Insanity Max I maxed out at 7 minutes seems to be the killer time that when you start because it does your legs but by the end of week 4 I could get to 30 minutes on cardio challenge.

I finished week 2 of the second half of the program tonight. Anyway I thought your review was great and it will help me push on even harder for my last two weeks.

Anyone out there who thinks they are too old to do this type of workout think again. Give it a go. Be sensible and listen to your body but just do the best you can and the results will make it all worthwhile.

Just a final word — I did the Friday fight round 1 with my 21 year old son who is one of those annoying naturally athletic types. He maxed out at 3 minutes thats still the warm up and quit on me after 15 minutes.

Congrats for the success so far, and for the determination to stick up with this insanely intense routine. Thinking about pushing the play button now, it gives me thrills: Btw, laughed so hard about how you challenged your son. I do that to many of my friends who are fitness rats and it always ends up funny. I tried insanity for the the first time 5 months ago and got through to the 6th week but then I got sick and did not see it through, now I wanted to start the program over again cause I thought max 30 was a lighter version of insanity, but after reading this review i realize it is not.

I am in the middle of the second week week of insanity, do you recomend I complete this program and then I try max 30 or should I just drop insanity and change to max 30? Also I have the impression that with insanity you burn fat as well as muscle, is this true? If so, does it also happen with max 30? First of all my advice would be to complete whatever program you are currently with.

The insanity workout, in your case, is a great program that will give you amazing results. The only issue I see here is time. Neither of the 2 programs burns muscle mass if you are eating enough protein. Chest are flat and more defined than ever, and so are arms and shoulders. It is harder than anything I ever tried in my life, but no pain no gain is my motto. And your review convinced me to go for it!!

Cant wait to start! Thank you for your time to share the review of the program. I went to the gym regularly until about 3 months ago, I just seem to have lost my motivation I got bored with my workouts but this program sounds like it will put me back on track. Max 30 will definitely keep you motivated throughout. I definitely want to complete this. I feel like if I ever step out of line with it I have to begin all over again.

Simply try to follow some principles of healthy eating and do your best. If you mess up one day, make sure to get back on track the other. The continuous workout and increasing intensity the more you do it the harder you can push will take care of the rest.

Besides, the more you invest yourself during the workouts, the harder it is becomes to break diet principles. Carbs are easy to handle- just take quinoa and brown rice and cook for two days ahead. The one, then the other. Same goes for protein- cook chicken enough to last for two days, and then you can go with fish.

Canned tuna can do the trick if you are out of stock with other protein sources. Legumes are a nice addition as well. I started with max out time of 6 mins and currently into the 4th week. I have touched 11 and a half minutes of max out time but it is varying depending upon the workout.

But last week I was constantly above 8 minutes. This workout is great. It keeps me motivated to push further everyday. Going to gym was always difficult for me and I was falling short of exercise routines with limited gym equipment at my home but this workout has given me a new dimension altogether. The only problem is I am unable to follow the diet plan strictly. Is that ok to be a bit flexible on that front?

Kudos for the progress! As long as you are eating clean most of the time, you are fine. Sometimes it is nice to allow your body relax with a mouthful of cookies. In the grand scheme of things, doing intense exercise day in and day out will take care of that. I have finished asylum 1 and asylum 2 workouts and I am now starting to do max The workout feels great and refreshing after two months of asylum training.

The question is will i lose the conditioning and strength gained throuhh asylum 1 and 2? Will max 30 maintain it? What about using max 30 as cardio after weight training? And also when i finish max 30 is it ok to do asylum 3 times per week for maintenance? Hey Zlatan, An asylum graduate here as well: Most intense month of my entire life for sure.

Tell you what- the conditioning will pretty much improve, though as far as strength goes, you might lose a fraction of that.

As for Max 30 being your cardio supplement after weight training, it depends on the intensity on your training. Doing Asylum 3 times per week for maintenance is great if you can regularly keep up with it. Results wise, it is the equivalent of doing a moderate-to-intense program every day.

I used asylum to gain conditioning for basketball will max 30 be good for the sport of basketball as well? Asylum is probably much better due to the athletic spin on the program which includes a range of sports training moves.

I think Max 30 would be better for speed and cardio endurance though. But still little i have belly fat. I start today insanity max But i wanna ask it if anyone finish the program its really works? Because we know like after 20 mn our body start burn oil. Program look like not enough long. So if anyone did it before maybe can help and share the experience.

Staying on track with the workouts and trying to follow a healthy diet will definitely burn any remaining fat tissue that you have. Make sure to rest enough, and you will love the results. I will finish max 30 and do one more round of asylum 1. After that I plan on doing asylum vol 1 and vol 2 hybrid but only 3 times a week as maintenance.

So it will take around 15 weeks to complete all the workouts. Very much interested in Max 30, any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

If losing fat is what you are primarily concerned about, then Max 30 is your pick. It will also help you tone and define your muscles, and depending on your diet maybe even add some muscle as well. I try to supplement by drinking Muscle Milk and eating fish, but could you recommend something else, both in terms of food and a supplement?

Also, how much protein should I be consuming? Just a quick reminder of the input for great results: Ditch the muscle milk, and go with a whey protein instead. Upgrade to one scoop when intensity is decent. Oh, and egg whites are the golden standard of protein, so eat of those during breakfast. Lastly, try to keep correct form during workouts, so muscles can take a punch. Remember, one proper move is worth 5 that are lacking correct form.

Do you do it until you max out or do you write your time and then carry on for the remainder of the 30 minutes? You go as far as you can without making a pause, and then write down the time… Take a moment of rest whatever you need in order to be capable of moving on with the rest of the workout , and continue following the crew on screen.

Then you can take rest whenever you feel like you must, keep it short seconds, depending on your level and return back to it again. The max out time is simply to map how far can you go from the beginning of the workout without making a single pause.

I love how supporting everyone here is. Last year in oct-Nov I started t but quit after the alpha round because of the holiday season. My question is after I complete the alpha and beta round will I be able to jump in to max 30? Most people here have completed insanity and t etc before getting into max Will it be too much of a jump for a semi-beginner like me? But I am so tired of being big.

So far so good. I take it one day at a time. Congrats on building the healthy habits from the ground up- it takes a lot of patience and dedication. Having tackled food, everything else is a piece of… hmm, well.. As for making the transition towards such an intense workout like Max 30, it depends. But mostly on a very overlooked factor- joint strength. See, most people fear the intensity, when in fact you adjust accordingly.

Go with Max 30 only if you are determined enough to push hard. The modifiers will help you along the way, but you will need to invest yourself a lot regardless of the fact. Early workout is better, especially when it comes to cardio- for the body is burning extra fat tissue. However, some people have stubborn metabolisms, so their fat burning ability partially shuts off before they jump start the system with a breakfast.

I for one have discovered that noon and evening workouts do the trick for me more than early morning ones ever will. If you decide to go with Max 30, drop us a line and share some of your experience. Thanks for the great review. I am into week 5 of 21 day fix extreme and plan on doing at least 2 more months of this and wanted to move to Max Will I still follow the 21 day fix eating plan?

Or will I need more calories since this workout is really tough. And will this be a good workout to switch to? Max 30 would be an excellent program to move towards.

It will drain fat that other programs never could, and surprise you in the process: As for diet, you can continue with the same plan from 21 Day Fix, only add more when needed. Bottom line- you will have to listen to your body and go from there.

Initially, you can continue with the same diet plan only enhancing the number of calories slightly… then, as your body dictates, you will add more protein a must , and slightly more carbs. Be prepared though, Max 30 is nothing like 21 Day Fix. The first week, at least until you catch grip, will be especially hard. My wife and I had been doing the 21 day fix repeatedly for 4 months and really enjoying it as a time to push ourselves and do something together.

It also helps to realize all the effort it takes to burn those extra calories if you eat more than you need. My wife ordered the Insanity Max 30 workout and we started it 5 weeks ago. For the first week, cardio and calf burn kept me from focusing on the intensity and form needed to really burn out my major muscles.

With cardio being such a limiting factor, major muscle recovery was easy for me. By week 4 I felt I could real ramp up the form and intensity and could see awesome results. One week into month 2 and it is a big jump harder, but month 1 adequately prepared my brain, no, it changed my brain so that I look forward to pushing harder to max out. I recommend this workout and here are some comments: You can always go faster, lower, higher, better form, add isometrics at points in you movements, or engage the core better or harder in order for you to max out earlier.

At that early stage, you will appreciate having to look up at the screen for an extra second or two anyway. Even when I lifted weights for 45 mins 3 times a week, I would get a burning hunger and need to eat a lot even though I had plenty of body fat still. The variety of push-ups in Max 30 is nuts and really strengthen your chest and triceps, so you are good there.

That said, if your workout partner is not prepared for how ridiculous Max 30 is, there may be problems. Its that nuts in the beginning. Doing a less intense workout first helped us step up, as well as appreciate the virtues of both workouts. And thanks for the tips as well, some very useful takeaways there. So glad to hear that you guys are having so much fun with Max Cause it is so true. If you are determined enough, all other Beachbody workouts fail in comparison.

Next on the list? Take my word and go for the Asylum series. Vol 1 is a killer! La creme de la creme of hard workouts. I just completed Focus T Since I am an office worker, I can only do this exercise at 9 p. So it is a little bit late to eat something to take protein I want to lose some weight and fat. Do you think that it is a must to take protein after work out? Every person has different body that loses from different areas. The same holds true now.

A bit of a back story: Would you suggest a transition to Insanity Max 30 during the 2nd month? My ortho doc says I can do workout as long as they are low impact on the joints. Would anyone here consider this relatively low impact or high impact training?

Thanks, looking to start something new as soon as I find something that jives. This is a high impact. Its a lot of jumping and jumping lunges and plyometrics like that.

There is a modifier that is meant for low impact though. First of all, that review was a real pleasure to read and i could feel like you were sincere about all the points of that workout, so thank you for that: I am now on my first week of the second month and i am surprised to see that i drastically improved my performances in terms of cardio and muscle power.

Even the second month videos are less difficult to me than the first month ones when i started, and i can now handle every single exercise without any break and almost every time at the same pace as the insanity team. Which one is the most difficult to your opinion? My aim would be first to dry my body from belly fat , the only part of my body that still has fat in it! Max 30 is definitely bringing it up a notch.

Congrats for going this far with Insanity. He has done Asylum, and many of the Max videos, so I guess he should chip in with some thoughts as well. Glad to see you so far into the program!

Insanity is a very tough routine, so seeing you having fun brings a smile to my face, because I can perfectly relate.

As Sandra said, Max 30 is a bit more challenging, if you can start high intensity instantaneously. It will definitely reintroduce some of that pain and struggle. But, as someone who has completed the Asylum, I must say that it is the most intense program ever published from Beachbody bar none!

If you are up for the challenge, forget any fat on your body. But also note that it is a lot harder than both Insanity and Max For now though, focus your attention exclusively on completing the program. Insanity is a great routine, and cutting it half way in order to do another one is not necessary at all. Finish it first and then try other programs. Yeah i can say i am definitely enjoying myself, at the point i am looking forward my training every day like a child would wait for his christmas presents haha.

I was asking to anticipate and starting straight away with another program! Cardio is reallt my strong point, but i struggle more in deep muscles exercices so i guess it will be more challenging to me haha!

Hi May have posted this question further up than I should. Did day 1 today with the modifier at their pace. It was hard but I reached 19 minutes before I really had to stop. The last ten minutes were really tough and I stopped 3 tines for a full 20 to 30 seconds. Anyway my question is should I be cautious and continue with the modifier for week one or dive in and max out at 3 to 5 minutes if that!

My feeling is I should gauge things for week one and then maybe repeat it with the full workouts. It seems to me that all options are open. I plan to go back to Crossfit and martial arts after a few years away so I want to be ready and healthy. First of all, congrats for starting this program. Glad to see you being reasonable too. This is a tough commitment, and being strategical about it, dedicating an extra week or two, is the smartest way to handle it.

That being said, you should continue with your modifier in order to prepare the body. At least for a week. Then, try and see how it goes without it for a while. The great thing is that whenever you feel like you cannot go further, jsut take a rest and continue with the modifier. This is a process in which you have to learn how to listen to your body. But somewhere around week two, this will come naturally, and you will more intimately understand the limits of your capabilities and when to switch between work and rest, work and modifier.

Its my last week month two and its awesome am now stronger, healthier, faster my body looking a way better, but only thing that am thinking about, what is the best to do after this?? So glad to hear this! It brings a smile on my face when I see people enjoying the things recommended on this blog.

Next for you my friend, at least the way I see it judging by your eagerness, is Asylum Vol. It is my favourite program. You will definitely love it. It will be a customizable and personalized program, and I think you will like it as well. Our gift to you. I hope you will like it.

Just started doing this but I really like it. My question is if I still want to lift weights, can I do this first, then go the gym?

Should I have a protein shake in between? If you have your mind already made, then by all means have a protein shake in between, and eat a high protein diet.

Make sure not to combine workouts 5 days per week. Two or three times should be the limit I guess. I am 23 years old and I have 3 kids. My youngest is 6 months old. I am starting the Insanity Max 30 workouts on Monday! I cannot wait for the crazy results! I have gained some baby weight for sure I am more than ready to get my body looking better!! Hi i have just ordered Max: I had a baby 7 months ago and ended up having a C section, i would really like to get rid of the lower belly fat and tone up my entire stomach.

My real concern is my lesg and bum, which i would like to lose a bit of weight from the top innner thights part and keep my bum the size it is or even increase the size of my bum. I am a little bit afraid of doing this and losing my bum and too much of my thights. I would like to tone my entire body. What is the best thing to do to get the results i want. Thank you in advance. This workout includes around moves total.

Many of those target your hamstrings and butt endless squat varieties, jumps and whatnot…. I Would love to contact you… are you on IG or Facebook? I would like to ask you a couple of questions… the picture of you on this article just left me speechless.

THAT is my goal body! Just send me an email here in the contact form on this site. I do have one question…I tried this once before and after making it through Insanity, I never had knee pain. Halfway through this program I did. So much so, I couldnt do the second half. After a 6 month hiatus and PT, knees feel good. Do you think its just improper form or pushing too hard?

What to watch out for
